Notes and References

  1. Although the ship was listed as the U.S.S. Samara Uhura in the "Star Trek: The Next Generation Officer's Manual," the intent was clear that it was named in honor of the communications officer aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise. At the time of the RPG supplement's publication, Uhura's first name had not been established on screen, and Nyota, Penda, and Samara were among several in circulation in various unofficial circles. It was not until the film Star Trek in 2009 that the name Nyota would be used on screen, and this entry has been modified to reflect that name.
