The Constitution class Starship Exeter was commissioned in May 2276,[2] then refit to Mark III specifications in February 2284, and to Mark IV in November in 2291.[3] In 2287, the Exeter assisted in the recovery of Enterprise Captain James T. Kirk from a bounty hunter named Sweeny.[1] The Exeter was scrapped in January 2308.[3]
Note
The registry given for the Exeter in "Going, Going..." was NCC-1706; this was the erroneous registry listed in the "Star Fleet Technical Manual" for the previous starship of the same name, and must be disregarded.
