James[1] Komack was a senior Admiral in Starfleet Command. On Stardate 3417.3, while attempting to evacuate the colony on Omicron Ceti III, Captain Kirk of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 attempted to contact Komack for instructions.[2] Komack refused to allow the Enterprise to divert to Vulcan on Stardate 3372.7, insisting that it be present for the inauguration of Altair VI's new President until Starfleet Command received a personal request from T'Pau.[3]
