Psychiatry was the study and treatment of mental illness, emotional disturbance, and abnormal behavior. Elizabeth Dehner specialized in psychiatry, and was assigned to the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 on Stardate 1312.4 to study crew reaction in emergency conditions.[1]
