The Federation Starship Kepler was a Newton class science vessel. In 2127, Phi Puma became the largest supernova in history, and vaporized the Kepler in the process. The last communication received from the ship, from science officer Wilhelm Henke, indicated that the gravitational deformations from the supernova made warp drive impossible.[1]
