On Reference Stardate 2/1612 (December 2216),[1] the Federation Starship Chandley, the first of the prestigious Chandley class frigates, was commissioned. The Chandley was the only ship in Star Fleet that shared its name with the company that designed and built it; the company was owned by the descendants of Rear Admiral Thomas Chandley, one of the most decorated heroes of Earth history.
