The Federation Starship Republic, an Enterprise class cruiser, was commissioned on Reference Stardate 2/1904 (April 2219), following the disappearance of the U.S.S. Republic NCC-1373 on Reference Stardate 2/0808 (August 2208).[1] Shari Shranim served aboard the Republic during her first year of service.[2] On Reference Stardate 2/2107.08 (8 July 2221),[3] the Republic, commanded by Fleet Captain Sufik, led the fleet for Operation Tactical Encounters XXVI, a major Star Fleet exercise intended to field-test new tactical formations.[4] The Republic was refit to Mark III specifications on Reference Stardate 2/2511 (November 2225), and to Mark IV specifications on Reference Stardate 2/3710 (October 2237). On Reference Stardate 2/5512 (December 2255), the Republic was scrapped.[5]
