January
- RSD 1/8801.04 (4 January): The U.S.S. Constitution NCC-1700, the lead vessel of the venerable Constitution class, is launched.[4]
- Stardate Unknown: Five weeks before the launch of the Constitution class U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, currently designated NX-0002, Ensign Una serves aboard the ship during its shakedown cruise under Admiral Rasmussen. With the assistance of the newly-launched Constitution, the NX-0002 crew is able to prevent the theft of their vessel by a group of Klingons disguised as Humans, albeit at the cost of most of the crew, including Admiral Rasmussen.[5]
