The Izar Colony was founded in 2183, and was immediately admitted into the United Federation of Planets. The first wave of colonization was brought to the planet by the S.S. Horizon, and the capital city was established in New Seattle. By the late 24th century, the population of Izar had grown to 185 million people.[1]
