Statutes of Alpha III

The Statutes of Alpha III, enacted by the Tribunal of Alpha III, were an important part of the history of human rights, according to Samuel Cogley, who cited them during an impassioned defense of Starfleet Captain James T. Kirk during a court martial in which he was accused of negligence in the apparent death of Lieutenant Commander Ben Finney.[1]
