Prime Timeline
(The root of all realities)

In 2377, the Federation Starship Challenger, a Galaxy class vessel, was part of an ad hoc fleet dispatched to intercept a Borg Sphere that appeared from a transwarp conduit within a light year of Earth. Upon arriving, however, the Sphere exploded, and the U.S.S. Voyager NCC-74656, which had spent the last seven years lost in the Delta Quadrant, emerged from within the Sphere.[1] Named for the early Human spacecraft, destroyed in 1986 in an explosion that claimed the lives of seven astronauts shortly after launch.
