The Federation Starship Defiance, a Bonhomme Richard class cruiser (a variant of the Constitution class), was authorized for production by the Star Fleet Appropriation of Stardate 3220[1] and commissioned circa 2194. The Defiance served during the Four Years War. When that conflict ended in 2198, all Bonhomme Richard class vessels were decommissioned and destroyed as part of Star Fleet's postwar demilitarization.[2]
