Constitution class[1]
Constitution class refit[2]

The Constitution class[3] Starship Eagle, which was in active service from its construction in 2247 through 2268.[4] Under Captain Igrilan[5] with an all-Andorian crew, the Eagle was the most decorated Starfleet vessel of its time.[5][4]

The Eagle was refit to Mark II refit specifications in August 2279,[6] then to Mark III in November 2282, and to Mark IV in March 2291.[7] Also in 2291, the Eagle, which was on a colony resupply mission at the time, was included in Operation Retrieve, a proposed rescue operation of Captain Kirk and Dr. McCoy from Klingon hands.[3] The Eagle was destroyed in July 2305.[7]

Note

The "Star Fleet Technical Manual" lists the Eagle's registry number as NCC-1719, while the "Federation Ship Recognition Manual" and "Star Trek: The Next Generation Officer's Manual" list the Eagle's registry number as NCC-1738. This, as well as contradictory data on the ship's disposition, must be ignored in favor of later information.
