Reference Stardate 1/8300 through 1/8312
- Saru becomes the first Kelpien to make contact with an alien race, after modifying technology taken from the Ba'ul. He is met by Lieutenant Philippa Georgiou, who lands on Kaminar in a shuttlecraft. She offers to take him off world, but warns him that Starfleet General Order One means he will be unlikely to ever return, as the rest of his species is not yet warp capable. Saru accepts her offer, leaving his sister, Siranna, without having said goodbye.[1][2]
