This unnamed United States Air Force Captain was assigned to a radar monitoring station in 1969. When the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 accidentally traveled back in time to July 1969, the captain called in the unidentified "aircraft" that appeared on the radar screen, and a fighter jet was sent to investigate.[1]
