U.S.S. Pioneer NCC-1500 (STO)
The Federation Starship Pioneer was the lead vessel of the Pioneer class frigates and was in service in the late 23rd century. In 2270, the ship was commanded by Captain Isaac Garrett. After a mission to Taurus II on Stardate 6147.4,[1] Garrett was promoted to admiral and command of the Pioneer fell to his first officer.[2] The Pioneer was destroyed a few months later during the Battle of Caleb IV, while covering the escape of the surviving Starfleet vessels from the engagement, with the apparent loss of all hands; unknown at the time, several members of the ship's crew, including its new captain, were rescued by Temporal Agent Daniels and transported to 2409, where they could continue to serve as temporal agents in that time period.[3]
