The captain of the merchant vessel S.S. Break Even was an unnamed Ferengi male who was forced to send a falsified distress call by Klingon forces led by Captain Kadek of the I.K.S. Chot, who sought to lure unsuspecting Starfleet vessels into a trap.[1] Once his vessel was repaired, he immediately fled the area, claiming that he "saw no profit" in staying around to help fight the Klingons.[2]
