Ilka, a petite Ferengi female, served as the head of a diplomatic mission from the Ferengi Alliance to the Venette Convention in 2383. Middle-aged by Ferengi standards, with meticulously sharpened teeth, a higher than usual brow, and perhaps slightly small lobes, Ilka dressed more conservatively than the majority of Ferengi women, who opted for bright, almost garish colors with plenty of decoration. During the mission to the Venette Convention, Ilka befriended Dr. Beverly Crusher of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-E.
