Aurelan Kirk was infected by the neural parasites during an attack on the Deneva colony in 2258. When the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 arrived soon thereafter, the Kirk family’s lives were saved thanks to the quick actions of the crew, led by her brother-in-law, Captain James T. Kirk. When the crisis had passed, George introduced Aurelan and the couple's only child, Peter, to his estranged younger brother.[1]
