STO Timeline
(Star Trek Online MMORPG)

The Narada was originally a mining vessel in service of the Romulan Mining Guild[1] and commanded by Captain Nero.[2] Following the destruction of Romulus,[3] the Narada was upgraded by engineers at the Vault, using Borg technology to vastly enhance the modest ship's capabilities.[4] After decimating a Klingon fleet led by General Worf, the Narada was pulled into a quantum singularity created with red matter by Ambassador Spock, who had used the technology to stop the expansion of the Hobus supernova. The Narada was presumed destroyed,[5] but in reality it had been transported back in time, creating a new timeline.

In this new timeline, Nero used the ship's advanced technology and red matter stolen from Spock's vessel to destroy Vulcan. Before he could do the same to Earth, however, he was stopped by the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701. With the red matter turned against them and the Narada heavily damaged, Nero and the crew were killed and the ship was destroyed when the Narada was pulled into a new quantum singularity.[2]
