The only child of George Samuel Kirk and Aurelan Kirk, Peter was infected by the neural parasites during an attack on the Deneva colony in 2258.[1] His life, along with the lives of his parents, was saved by the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, commanded by his uncle, Captain James T. Kirk, whom Peter met for the first time when the crisis was resolved.[2]
