In the [[Mirror Universe]], the ''Capital Gain'' was a warship constructed by the [[Terran Rebellion]],<ref name="MU2"/> and was based on the [[Defiant class|''Defiant'' class]] specifications stolen from [[Deep Space 9]] in [[Chronology: 2371|2371]]. After the Terran Rebellion on ''[[Terok Nor (Mirror)|Terok Nor]]'' built their own [[Defiant (Mirror)|''Defiant'']],<ref name="DS9492"/> [[Terran Rebellion Ranks#General|Generals]] [[Zek (Mirror)|Zek]] and [[Bashir, Julian (Mirror)|Julian Bashir]] turned the abandoned ''[[Empok Nor (Mirror)|Empok Nor]]'' into a shipyard capable of producing up to twelve ''Defiant'' class starships at a time. The ''Capital Gain'' was the first ship produced there, and was captained by Zek. The ''Capital Gain'' was disabled when ''Empok Nor'' was destroyed by [[Klingon-Cardassian Alliance]] forces.<ref name="MU2"/>
