The Tiercel class was the standard-issue shuttle in both the Romulan Republic and the Romulan Star Empire, comparable to Starfleet's Type-8 shuttlecraft, and most warbirds were equipped with at least one Tiercel class shuttlecraft. The class was armed with two forward-facing weapons emplacements, typically mounting an omnidirectional plasma bank and micro-plasma torpedoes.[1]
