Starfleet Ensign Coraline Fletcher was a native of Corvan II, and spoke with an Australian accent. In 2256, she was visiting her family on Corvan II when it was attacked by Klingon forces. She helped defend mining Chief Ellery Smythe until a ship crewed by Starfleet Academy cadets on a training cruise arrived, under orders to warn the colony and defend it until reinforcements could arrive. When the attack was over and the colony was safe, the cadet in command of the vessel was promoted to commanding officer and Fletcher joined the ship's crew.[1]
