Stardate 18:41.2: A monster attack leaves Captain Kirk mentally unfit to command the Enterprise!
Following a planetary survey, Kirk begins acting irrationally. Spock and McCoy attempt to relieve Kirk of command but he escapes in a shuttle, with the Enterprise in pursuit.
