Shul Torem served as a security officer aboard Deep Space 9, and spent more years on the station than nearly anyone else. Shul lived there with his wife, Aba, a civilian. The couple survived the station's destruction, and Aba relocated to Bajor to stay with family the couple had on the planet. Captain Ro Laren made sure to post Shul planetside, so that he could remain with his wife.[1]
