Dalin Zivan Slaine, a Cardassian female, served aboard Deep Space 9 as part of an officer exchange program between the Khitomer Accords nations for several months prior to the station's destruction in 2383.[1] Afterward, she continued to serve under Captain Ro Laren at the Wyntara Mas Control Center, which was converted into a makeshift operations center while a replacement station was constructed.[2]
