The Red Hour, 6:00 p.m., marked the beginning of "Festival," a periodic twelve-hour-long lust- and violence-fueled rampage among the members of "the Body" under the control of Landru on Beta III. Older members—such as Reger, Tamar, and Hacom—were exempted from Festival. Young women, such as Tula, were subjected to rape in addition to the mayhem and property destruction.[1]
