Lieutenant Commander Evik Nath was a middle-aged Bajoran, who succeeded Ro Laren as chief of security aboard Deep Space 9 in the late 2370s. His unexpected death from natural causes in 2382 shocked and saddened the crew and residents of the station.[1]
