Birds-of-Prey were small, fast, and filled a variety of roles for the Klingon Empire. They could be used as scouts, raiders, or patrol ships. The Qaw'Dun class featured a battle cloaking device — which could more rapidly cloak the ship than a standard cloaking device, including during combat. They were vulnerable when cloaked, but their speed and maneuverability made them hard to hit. The class mounted three forward-facing and one aft-facing weapons emplacements.[1]
