FASA Timeline
A lethal nerve agent, chlortheragen was designed on Reference Stardate 1/96 (2196) by Klingon scientists to inflict agony on its victims as it killed them. It was used for the first time against Star Fleet ground forces at Rudgur III during the Defense of Rudgur III in the Four Years War. Two years later, on Reference Stardate 1/9801, researchers at the Vulcan Science Academy developed an antidote to the chemical weapon.[1]
