E60 Timeline
In the E60 Timeline, the Enterprise was severely damaged during battle with the Xindi in 2153, limiting the ship to a maximum speed of Warp 1.7. Following the destruction of Earth in 2154, the Xindi began to ruthlessly hunt down the remaining Humans. The Enterprise was one of only four Starfleet ships left, and it escorted a group of some 6,000 survivors to settle on Ceti Alpha V. The Enterprise was destroyed in 2165, when the Xindi became aware of this final Human refuge. After nearly all of the crew had been killed, Jonathan Archer triggered a subspace implosion that destroyed the ship; the implosion also eliminated the parasites that had infested his brain in 2153, and due to the unique temporal properties of the parasites, they were eliminated in the past as well as the present, preventing his infection and altering the timeline.[1]
E73 Timeline
This Enterprise originated in an alternate timeline, in which the ship had been transported a century into the past. When the ship, now crewed by the descendants of the original crew, encountered the original Enterprise NX-01 prior to its journey into the past in the Delphic Expanse, the actions of both crews prevented the Enterprise from traveling through time. The Enterprise was traveling through a subspace rift when the timeline changed, however, allowing the crew to retain their memories of the E73 timeline when it was eliminated and reabsorbed into the Prime timeline.[2]
