Commander Khiy was the second-in-command of the defensive forces of the Reman colony on Crateris. When his commanding officer, Obisek, left the system in 2409, the colony was attacked by the Tal Shiar and the Elachi. Aided by a ship from the Romulan Republic, Khiy coordinated an evacuation of the colony. Unfortunately, the convoy of shuttlecraft was set upon by the Elachi and Tal Shiar, and nearly all of the escaping colonists were abducted.[1]
