Wilhelm Henke was the science officer aboard the research ship U.S.S. Kepler. Henke was killed when Phi Puma went supernova, vaporizing the ship and all aboard. The last transmission received from the ship was sent by Henke, who indicated that gravitational deformations from the supernova made warp drive impossible.[1]
