Ambassador class[1]

The Ambassador class Federation Starship Adelphi conducted a disastrous first contact with the planet Ghorusda. Forty-seven people, including the Adelphi's Captain Darson, were killed in the incident, which later became known as the Ghorusda disaster.[2]

Named for the Greek word for "brothers."
