Doctor Phineas Grogan was a survivor of a science vessel that crashed on Taurus II in 2270.[1] The ship was lured into a trap by a group of Klingons led by Captain Kor, and soon thereafter, on Stardate 6147.4, Muller and the other survivors were rescued from the Klingons and the native Taurans by a search and rescue team from the U.S.S. Pioneer NCC-1500.[2] When the team found him, Grogan was injured and trapped within the wreckage of a shuttlecraft.[1]
