Together, they had five children: Henry Clay McCoy, Leonard McCoy, Landon Abney McCoy, Melissa Jane McCoy, and Elizabeth Abney McCoy.[3] McCoy suffered from a rare and fatal illness, and he begged his son, Leonard, a doctor, to take him off of life support.
