Garab Zarath graduated from Starfleet Academy in 2409. During his cadet training cruise, he was assigned as a security officer aboard a Miranda class starship commanded by Captain Masc Taggart. When the ship came under attack by the Klingon vessel I.K.S. Chot, Zareth was part of a security team that fought Klingon boarding parties and retook main engineering.[1]
