When the [[Tal Shiar (STO)|Tal Shiar]] and the [[Elachi (STO)|Elachi]] attacked the colony in [[2409 (STO)|2409]], Zden helped the crew of a [[Romulan Republic (STO)|Romulan Republic]] ship to organize an evacuation. Zden was a Reman colonist on Crateris; he lived near the communications tower on the outskirts of the colony with his daughter, Veril.
