Lieutenant Krissten Richter was assigned to Deep Space 9 in the 2370s, while Captain Benjamin Sisko still commanded the station.[1] During her tenure on the station, Richter met and later married Sergeant Etana of the Bajoran Militia, who made a career change to nursing so that the two could stay together.[2]
