The Federation Starship Loknar, the prototype vessel of the Loknar class frigates, was commissioned in October 2248. The Loknar was the first ship commissoined into the "Blue Fleet," ships whose officer contingent and crew were entirely Andorian, and served as its flagship for many years. The Loknar was refit to Mark II specifications in July 2256, then again in June 2272 to Mark IV specifications.[2]
