Wayne Sheppard (First Splinter)

Wayne Sheppard was the first mate aboard the freighter S.S. Xhosa under Kasidy Yates. After the birth of Yates' daughter, Rebecca Sisko, Sheppard took over the actual day-to-day running of the ship while Yates raised her child. Sheppard was killed in 2383 when the Xhosa was destroyed by a Tzenkethi vessel.[1]
