The speed of light, abbreviated as c, is the distance that light can travel in a vacuum in one year^[1] — 299,793 kilometers per second (abbreviated as kps)^[2] / 186,000 miles per second^[1] — and is the fastest speed possible in relativistic space.^[3]^[4]
