The Federation Starship Chief Joseph was a Larson class destroyer. Constructed to Mark II specifications and commissioned in December 2256, the Chief Joseph was was refit to the Larson class Mark VI specifications in June 2269; in January 2276, the Chief Joseph was given a final refit to the Mark VII configuration. By June 2281, the Chief Joseph was still in active service.[1]
