Star Trek Lives!
The cancellation of the original series in 1969 should have been the end of the story for Star Trek, but the Enterprise would not be placed into mothballs so easily. Syndication and fan-run conventions saw Star Trek become more popular and led to Gene Roddenberry and Filmation Studios teaming up to continue the Enterprise's original five-year mission.
Star Trek: The Animated Series was a critical success and earned the franchise its first Emmy Award. The show featured the voices of the original cast as well as original series writers.
This is the first official book on The Animated Series and it contains:
- New interviews with writers, animators and more
- Rarely or never-before-seen interviews from Gene Roddenberry
- Behind-the-scenes production documents
- Never-before-seen art
- Encyclopedia with new and updated listings
- Bloopers
- Canon connections
