Vor'cha class (STO)
The Vor'cha class battle cruisers were the deadly frontline of the Klingon fleets and the deadly embodiment of the Klingon fighting style: a ship too tough to go down easily, and too strong to not take down several others with it on the way. This led to the class becoming the Empire's flagship for some time, and a mainstay of the Empire's forces in numerous wars. The class was originally introduced in 2367 as a response to the increasing threats — posed by the Borg, Cardassians, and later the Dominion — which marked that stressful period in history. The first Vor'cha class ships were reserved for use by the Chancellor and members of the High Council, and over the next several years, the versatile and sturdy warship proved its worth time and again, captained by many different able-bodied Klingon warriors. The standard Vor'cha class ships were equipped with a cloaking device, and was armed with four forward-facing and three aft-facing weapons emplacements, and a retrofitted version added a fifth forward-facing weapons emplacement.[1]
