(Split from the Columbia Timeline during the events of First Contact)

A neurological disease similar to Alzheimer's disease that affected Romulans, Tuvan Syndrome first stole its victim's motor skills, then ravaged their mind. In time, a Romulan afflicted with the disease would grow incapable of recognizing loved ones, eventually resulting in the patient's lingering, debilitating death.
