Reference Stardate -20/0001.01 through -20/9912.31

5

July

August

6

January

  • RSD -20/9401.03 (3 January):[Notes 1] The Battle of Botchok begins the Orion War.[1]
  • RSD -20/9401 through -20/5712 (January 6 through December 43):[Notes 1] The Orion War is fought with arms, diplomacy, and economic threat. Of 58 belligerents, the Orions defeat only 13 in open warfare; the rest eventually retire and sue for terms.[1]

39

April

  • RSD -20/6104:[Notes 1] With the end of the Orion War in sight, the Botchok Planetary Congress debates the form of social organization they will adopt afterward. Tamos Draman the Half-Sighted argues eloquently for a hierarchy in which the Grays are slightly higher than the Ruddies. Eventually the BPC produces the Codex Orion, a compendium of the laws of society, in which Grays and Ruddies are equals.[2]

44

February

  • RSD -20/5602.13 (13 February):[Notes 1] The Declaration of Nallin the Unconquerable, proclaiming freedom for all Orions in space, is issued. The New Days begin, ushering the cultural and spiritual regeneration of 21.35 billion Orions on 135 planets.[1]
  • RSD -20/56 through -10/03 (44-1097):[Notes 1] A thousand years of nearly uninterrupted peace, growth, and prosperity also prepares the Orions, unknowingly, for the Reverse that will wreck their culture. Social differences become wider and more rigid. Colonies of Grays without any Ruddies, and of Ruddies without a single Gray, start to appear in odd corners of Orion space.[2]

Notes

  1. 1.0 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4 1.5 1.6 "The Orions: The Book of Common Knowledge" and "The Orions: The Book of Deep Knowledge" erroneously gave the years of all negative stardates in the Common Era in reverse order; for example, -14/23 is actually 676, rather than 623. This has been corrected for this entry.
