Starfleet Lieutenant Commander Amna Patel served as chief of security aboard the Cardenas class U.S.S. Buran NCC-1422 in 2256.[1] She was engaged to marry the Buran's first officer, Commander Ellen Landry. Following Operation Riposte, Patel and Landry helped escort several Klingon prisoners of war to Facility 2047 in the Mandel system, and then helped fight off a Klingon raiding force led by J'Ula that ultimately rescued the Klingon prisoners.[2]
