The Earth Cargo Service Ship North Star suffered a brutal and infamous fate at the hands of brigands. Matthew Ryan of the E.C.S. Fortunate previously served on the North Star. Ryan's parents were among those killed, which ultimately led to his thirst for revenge.[1]
